School facilities
At Modbury South, our facilities reflect our priorities for supporting student learning and wellbeing.
Gym
Our school Gym is a large, modern space utilised for Health & PE lessons, assemblies and performing arts concerts. The building has toilets, a kitchenette, storage rooms and a stage.
Oval
We have very spacious oval with both soccer and football goals and a newly installed cricket pitch.
Library
Our Library space is a dedicated space for classes to access books and resources. Classes have weekly Library lessons with our Library SSO.
Kitchen Garden
We have an extensive Kitchen Garden in which students learn through planning, planting, harvesting and cooking with fresh produce. Our Kitchen Garden grows a large variety of produce such as olives, bananas, citrus and herbs. We also enjoy collecting fresh eggs from our well-loved chickens.
Yarning Circle
We have a yarning circle with artwork designed and painted by our students. Classes use this as an outdoor learning space.
Sensory spaces
We have two sensory spaces, one upstairs and one downstairs. These are used to support students’ self-regulation.
Asphalt
Our recently restored asphalt space includes one full court and one half court basketball/netball courts along with additional four-square, chess and number line markings.
